I'm married, with four step-children and four grandchildren...3 boys and a girl, who are extremely cute.
I work at the *very small* local Post Office as a fill in for the OIC and I am also a bakery drone at a local grocery. I used to think I was a cake decorator, but quite honestly, I spend a lot more time mopping the floor lately than I do decorating, so I think bakery drone is more appropriate.
I'm in the process of trying to figure out what to do with my life. I spent almost twenty years being the caregiver for my mother, who was confined to a wheelchair with MS. She passed away in early 2008 from breast cancer.
I would like to go back to school, but first, I have to figure out who I am, apart from being the caregiver. I'm looking at other avenues of employment outside my comfort area.
I was introduced to LJ as a place to read Harry Potter fanfiction, but have discovered that LJ is so much more than that. I mostly post about my life in my journal. I hope to someday post some fanfic, but I'm a little shy about posting it, since I think it's not very well written. In addition, I post cake pictures as well. I love to decorate cakes, especially for the younger kids.
I'm open to new friends...just leave a message in an open post and I'll get back to you.
